Baking soda is a good degreaser. You could mix a few tablespoons of it with warm water and then use the mixture with a sponge to work on the grease. Simply dampen a clean kitchen sponge, sprinkle a little baking soda on the sponge, and scrub away the greasy mess. Baking soda doesn’t scratch appliances, and will leave them clean and fresh.
Lemon can be used as a degreaser too. Cut the lemon in half and rub it over the dried oil. However, lemon juice may not be suitable for surfaces like natural stone.
You could also combine baking soda and lemon juice. To do this, combine baking soda and lemon juice in a small bowl and don’t make it too thick or light. Then rub the mixture on the greasy area with a rag and leave it for three to five minutes then rub and wipe off clean.
Remember to start the cleaning process by first testing the materials on a small area of the greasy surface before cleaning it all, if you are not sure of the surfaces especially the stony ones.
