Hunters have gunned down two suspected bandits that attempted to abduct some farmers in Kuyeri village in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A hunter, who was part of the operation, simply identified as Sani, said the incident happened on Monday around 5pm.
He said the bandits, who were eight in number, emerged from a forest and started shooting into the air.
He said the hunters, upon hearing the gunshots, responded, forcing the bandits to flee.

He said, “It was the quick intervention of the hunters that saved the farmers from being abducted as two of the bandits were killed.”
A community leader confirmed the incident to our reporter through the telephone.
The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, could not be reached for comment.
