A notorious banditry leader popularly known as ‘Yellow’ in Zuru Emirate of Danko/Wasagu and its environs in Kebbi State has been killed.
He was killed by local hunters with some of his gang members in a joint security operation in Danko Wasagu area of the state.
While speaking to journalists on the death of the bandit leader, Commander of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service (NHFSS), in Kebbi, Musa Hussaini-Rambo, said he had been kidnapping, raping, killing and terrorising communities in the area for over seven years.
“Some of our members, in a joint patrol, comprising military and police agents, were alerted on the attack by Yellow and his members in Danko/Wasagu.

“Before the attack, he sent a letter to one of our members threatening that the day they meet face to face would be his last day on earth. But incidentally, it was that our member that killed him during the attack.”
Hussaini-Rambo said that the bandit had carried out attacks more than five times in the area in this year alone.
He commended security agencies in the state for carrying them along in ensuring the security and maintenance of law and order in the state.
