HYPADEC will mitigate flooding – Gov Sani Bello

Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has said that he is working in collaboration with the other states in partnership with the federal government towards the effective take-off of Hydro-electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPADEC).

Speaking at a workshop yesterday in Minna, Bello said commencement of operation of the commission would cushion the effect of the annual flooding in the affected communities.

He urged the federal government to expedite action on the constitution of the HYPADEC board  and other appointments to kick-start the take-off of the commission.
