Abdullahi
Abubakar Abdullahi was one of the few physically challenged persons at the Mai Alelu polling unit where Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu voted at Nassarawa Ward 2 in Birnin Kebbi.
Abdullahi said he was determined to vote for his candidate of choice despite the large crowd of voters at the polling unit.
Even though he was not given a preferential treatment he deserved, he was patient all through the long hours to make sure his vote counted for his preferred candidate.
He told our correspondent he had arrived the polling center as early as 8am to exercise his franchise but he couldn’t vote until about 11:30am.
Abdullahi said: “I came to vote because I heard INEC said the physically challenged, pregnant women and the elderly would be given preferential treatment at the polling unit. I’ m so happy my vote would count for the candidates of my choice.”
