The governor, while decrying the killing of seven people on Wednesday night, noted that the victims were his own Berom brothers and sisters, saying the situation was becoming unbearable to his administration.

“Everyday, I wake up to the sad news of such attacks; the situation is simply unbearable,’’ Jang said at the graduation ceremony of the Theological College of Northern Nigeria (TCNN), Jos.

“Everyday, I keep wondering why God decided to make me governor at this time of the incessant killings. I keep wondering why God called me to be governor of Plateau now to come and face the crisis particularly the killings of my own people.

“You can imagine what I’m going through every morning when I wake up not knowing the news that I will hear again and again,’’ Jang said.

The governor urged Christians to rise up to the security challenge by repenting of their evil ways so as to seek the face of God and His glory, to end the destruction of lives and property in Plateau.
