The 3rd runner up BBNaija 2017, Oluwarise Deborah Ebun popularly known as Debie Rise has disclosed that her father conducted a deliverance session for her after her return from the Big Brother Naija reality show.

She revealed that her father, who is a preacher, was not in support of enrollment in the reality show so she had to abscond from home to attend.

 While speaking on Channels TV, Debie noted that it is almost impossible not to lead people astray in the entertainment industry.

 

Her words, “So I do not think that because you grew up in church as the light of the world as the Bible says, you shouldn’t be out there to the larger world like on the screen – like Big Brother Naija

 

“So long as you can find a way to truly inspire people, to impact lives and not lead people astray. However, in entertainment, it is almost impossible to not lead people astray that is where you have to draw the line.

“When my dad found out that I went for Big Brother, I had already ‘escaped’ from the house and I sent him a text. That was very mean of me. However, I had to assure him that people would congratulate him for being a good dad

“When I went for home coming, they still asked me to kneel down and lay hands on me and deliver me.”
