The singer disputed this during the launch of a book of his songs written by Muhammad Lawan Isa (Barista) during the weekend at Bayero University Kano.

Rumours have been circulating that ALA dreamt of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) shaking hands with everyone one but declined to shake the singer supposedly because of his career and this dream supposedly made the singer quit music.

But the singer has now dismissed this as baseless rumours which will not deter him from making the needed difference in Hausa prose and songs.

“I first heard the speculation some few months ago while I was in Kaduna State; and before you know it has spread like wild fire everywhere. I was told that in Adamawa State people were asked to stop listening to my music because the Prophet (PBUH) has forbidden it. These are all constructed lies against me, God knows their intent for doing such,” ALA said.

The book is the first of its kind written by a youth on a fellow youth’s artistic work; it contains 55 songs with interpretation of some Hausa vocabularies used by the singer. The book also list awards won by the singer from different organisations at different occasions.

The event had in attendance the Jigawa CPC gubernatorial candidate Alhaji Faruk Adamu Aliyu, Professor Sa’idu Muhammad Gusau of BUK, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida, Professor Abdallah Uba Adamu and a host of Hausa musicians.
