A 46-year-old man, Adeola Adetokunbo Olusoga, who was arrested by the police in Osun State over his membership of a secret cult has said he joined the society to fight the oppression of blacks.
Olusoga who is popularly known as TK was paraded by the CP in the state, Mr Wale Olokode, at the police headquarters for terrorising citizens of Oke-fia and Ofatedo areas of Osogbo, the state capital.
The CP said the suspect was arrested while collecting phones, money and other valuables from his victims at Riverside Hotel and Lounge, Osogbo.
He said findings revealed that the suspect was a member of the Black Axe Confraternity also known as Aye Confraternity.
In a chat with Daily Trust, the suspect, who hails from Ijebu-Igbo town in Oke-Agbo Local Government Area of Ogun State, said, “I’m a member of Black Axe. I have never killed anyone. I don’t get involved in criminal activities. I joined the society to fight oppression and injustice.”
