Wizkid had previously attended the UK premiere of ‘Bob Marley: One Love’ in London, where videos of his appearance showed him looking dull.
Following the viral video, many Nigerians took to social media on Tuesday to voice their concern about his appearance.
However, Wizkid admitted that he has lost himself since his mother’s passing in a series of messages on his Instagram account on Wednesday morning.
He said, “Look in the mirror, and I don’t feel myself. Mama left me, and I lost myself. I can’t wait to feel myself again. Life of a soldier! Military with it! Until then I dey slap away for free, so leave me.
“And I’m thankful that you all are going through this phase with me. You seen me at my lowest now. When you see me back on my high, no complain. Expensive pain.”
