Dauda made his claim weekend while  addressing newsmen in Abuja.
He said his name was substituted with that of another candidate after he won the primaries conducted by the party on December 10.
He said his ambition to become governor of the state is being scuttled by elements within the party, whom he failed to mention.
Engr. Dauda said: “I state here unequivocally clearly and without any fear of contradiction that I am the bona fide candidate of Labour Party in Niger State, eminently and ably qualified to contest the office of governor.
“Having satisfied all the requirements of Labour Party, I was invited to participate in their primary election conducted at the Labour Party office in Minna on the 10th of December, 2014 in which I was unopposed and duly declared candidate for Niger State and which was captured and documented.”
Mr. Dauda explained that he had not gotten a reply from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) despite writing the commission about the omission of his name from its list.
“When I noticed this illegal presentation of name, I immediately petitioned INEC and INEC is yet to respond or advice otherwise.
“I raised the objection on the 5th of January 2015 when they displayed the names on their board in Niger State,” he added.
However, when contacted, the spokesperson for the INEC chairman, Kadoye Idowu, said he had no details of the case been referred to. He, however said that INEC will recognize the name of any candidate nominated by a political party.
When contacted, the Niger State Labour Party chairman, Musa Abubakar Mohammed,  told Daily Trust on phone that Engineer Yahaya Dauda is not his party’s gubernatorial candidate because he failed to pay the sum of N10 million being payment for the expression of interest and nomination forms, and for that reason there is no way he could be a candidate for the party.
