A 23-year-old man, who allegedly sodomised six boys in Chanchaga Local Government Area of Niger State, has said that he chose to sodomise boys because they don’t get pregnant.
Adamu Mohammed, of Korokpa area of Chanchaga in Minna metropolis, was arrested by the police in the area following a tip off on Friday while he was trying to flee after he discovered that the police were on his trail.
According to the state police command, in September 2018 one Yusuf Buhari, of the same address as the suspect reported to the police that Mohammed lured his 10-year-old son (name withheld) into his room and sodomised him.
Other victims he reportedly sodomised include two 12-year-old boys, an 11-year-old boy and two 10-year-old boys (names withheld) all of the same address.
In an interview with journalists on Saturday in Minna, Mohammed who hailed from Jigawa State said he has been involved in the act for the past two years having been without a wife within the period.
He said he resorted to targeting young boys when his girlfriend left him, adding that it was better with the boys because it foreclosed any case of pregnancy and abortions.
“My girlfriend ditched me long ago and I have trouble getting another one, so I resorted to the boys,” he said.
Explaining further, he said, “I cannot impregnate them; I find it extremely difficult to discontinue because it has become part of me.”
He said he gave his victims sweets, coke and biscuits after sodomizing them as gratification.
The spokesman for the command, DSP Muhammad Abubakar, described the act as disturbing, nasty and dehumanizing.
He said the matter would be charged to court after investigation.
