The immediate past Accountant General of Gombe State, Aminu Yuguda, said he would build on the legacy of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya when elected as governor of the state in the 2027 general elections.

Yuguda, who is a gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), stated this on Thursday at the state party secretariat after he formally declared his ambition to contest the 2027 governorship election.

Speaking after he submitted his intent letter to contest for the governorship seat to the state chairman of the APC, Mohammed Dantata Ndus, Yuguda told large crowd of supporters who accompanied him to the party office that he is committed to continue with good governance and the people-oriented projects being executed by the administration of Governor Inuwa Yahaya.

He thanked the large crowd of his supporters who came out to welcome him and reiterated his commitment to continuity in governance.

Yuguda added that he formally presented his intention to contest for the governorship under the APC platform.

“I have no template apart from the Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s template, everyone can see how Dan Majen Gombe has delivered, and that template will continue to work for Gombe State.

The state APC chairman, Mohammed Dantata Ndus, called on all other aspirants to remain united and work together to secure victory for the party.

Ndus also commended Yuguda for formally notifying the party of his intention, noting that the impressive turnout reflects the growing popularity of the APC and confidence in its leadership in the state under Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
