Egypt captain, Mohamed Salah, has again declared his preparedness to win this year’s Africa Cup of Nations after coming close in the 2017 edition.

The Liverpool star made this known after the Pharaohs qualified for the quarter-final by defeating Ivory Coast 5-4 on penalties on Wednesday.

The Pharaohs will face Morocco in the last eight and Salah is particularly eager to carry his national side one step further than 2017, when they were beaten in the final by 2021 hosts Cameroon.

“Of course I want to win something with the national team. It’s my country, which I love the most.
