The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto has promised to run a student-friendly government if elected next year. 

He gave the pledge while inaugurating the Ahmed Aliyu Reintroduction Agenda (ARA) vanguard in Sokoto on Monday. 

Aliyu assured that his government would ensure students get all the necessary support and encouragement to acquire quality higher education.

He said the scholarship programme would receive a boost to ensure that youths are given the opportunity to study various disciplines required in the state. 

The APC candidate appealed to the party’s members to work round the clock and ensure APC wins the governorship and other seats in the state.

The Coordinator of ARA vanguard, Ambassador Hamza Abubakar, said the group was created to canvass votes for the party in the 2023 polls.
