An explosion, which occurred at Dejo Oyelese Close, Bodija Housing Estate, had wreaked havoc across the town.

The actress took to the internet to share her experience, stating that she was in Bodija at the time of the explosion and that the loud effect is still felt in her ears today.

Lawal said she had parked her car near an estate to buy Suya but had miraculously moved it just moments before the explosion.

“Alhamdulillah for today; I was in Bodija when the explosion occurred, and my ears are still ringing from the effect.

“I thank God for our lives. I parked to buy suya opposite that Estate but later I moved my car from Sloggers Club to the Metro Hotel on the same Osuntokun when it happened.

“God have mercy oo. Too many dead bodies. What exactly is going on?”
