The tournament which is the flagship female competition at the IBB International Golf and Country Club has been in action for the past four days.
Ugandan Flavia Namakula, who won the 16th edition last year as expected led the international field of players to the 54-hole event.
The Captain of IBB Club Ladies Section,  Mrs Ketumi Alasa, speaking to reporters said that over 100 female golfers from within and outside Nigeria graced the tournament.
They were complemented by 120 male guest golfers who competed over 18 holes.
Female golfers with handicap 0-28 were eligible for the open tournament, while those parading handicap 29-36 featured only as guests.
Ketumi boasted that the underlying appeal for the tournament stemmed from its recognition as a ranking tournament for amateur golfers.
The Open used to be a 36-hole tournament until it was upgraded to a 54-hole stroke play event two years ago. Ketumi said that only 40 female golfers are projected to make the cut into the final round today. The player with the best gross score over 54 holes will be pronounced as the overall winner.
