The Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences commission (ICPC) has seized house No 1 River Benue Street Maitama belonging to a former 2nd vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Shehu Dikko.

Dikko is not new to having his properties seized as in 2019, he alongside a former NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, had some of their landed properties seized by the commission.

An advertorial published in Daily Trust yesterday and signed by the ICPC Chairman Bolaji Owasonoye (SAN) read thus: “Whereas the Commission is investigating a matter involving Mr Shehu Dikko of No 1 River Benue Street, Maitama, Abuja wherein immovable property owned by the said Mr. Shehu Dikko is in issue.

“Whereas, the Commission is of the opinion based on the aforementioned investigation that this immovable property owned by Mr Shehu Dikko is excessive having regard to his present and past emoluments and all other circumstances.

“The Commission hereby notifies the entire public that the immovable property owned, controlled and managed by Mr Shehu Dikko either by himself and/or through his Attorney, Agents and Proxies listed hereunder is seized.”

The advertorial added that the notice has been served on the Land Registry in Abuja, FCT.

Dikko is also the chairman of the League Management Company (LMC) which was recently scrapped by the Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare.
