International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC).

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is set to host a one-day media roundtable on ‘Healthcare in Danger issues’ in Kano tomorrow.

According to an email sent to the invited journalists, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a neutral, impartial, and independent humanitarian organization whose mandate is to protect and provide assistance to people affected by armed conflicts and other situations of violence.

The ICRC, which has been operational in Nigeria’s North-East for more than a decade, providing assistance in food, livelihood rebuilding, healthcare and hygiene, and family reunification, seeks to continue supporting and reaching out to key reporters at major news outlets and specialized health publications.

The organisation hopes to engage journalists who cover specific aspects of climate change, conflicts, and violence, and explore how the media can help advance policies concerning healthcare systems, pharmaceuticals, and new health scientific technologies.
