IDPs living on cap knitting in Maiduguri

Among hundreds of people displaced by Boko Haram insurgency and related fighting in Bama, some have migrated to the Borno capital Maiduguri but they are not staying on camps for displaced people waiting for handouts and interventions.

They have turned to the business they did before Boko Haram uprooted their lives – cap knitting – and are turning thousands of naira each day in earnings.
