International Energy Insurance (IEI) Plc has announced that it grew its market share price by over 700 per cent from 2023 till date.
This was made known recently when it hosted its Capital Markets Day in Lagos, a statement by the company has said.
As the insurance industry nears the conclusion of a pivotal recapitalization season, the forum served as a transparent platform for IEI to highlight its financial resilience and present its roadmap towards stronger market leadership.
Highlight of the session was the discussion around IEI’s exceptional performance on the Nigerian Exchange.
“Stakeholders noted the company’s remarkable valuation trajectory, with its share price having grown by an impressive 700% between 2023 and now. This significant growth was referenced as a refelction of rising investor confidence and the market’s positiveresponse tothe company’s restructuring and growth initiatives,” the statement said.
Speaking on the company’s performance, the Chief Financial Officer, Uyi Osagie, noted: “Over the past five years, IEI Plc has undergone a disciplined and deliberate transformation anchored on governance, capital efficiency, and operational restructuring. This has translated into a stronger balance sheet, improved underwriting quality, and renewed market confidence. The 700% growth in our share price since 2023 is not incidental—it reflects the market’s recognition of the fundamentals we have rebuilt.”
The event underscored IEI’s commitment to maintaining open and constructive dialogue with the investing public.
