‘If I Am President’ for premiere
High Definition Film Studio (HDFS), also known as the pioneer of the Pan Africa Filmmaking Reality TV Show, Script2Screen, and the award winning movie broken, is set to host a movie premiere, titled ‘If I Am President,’ at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, on October 20, 2018.
In a statement, the artistic producer of the movie, Bright Wonder Obasi, saiod the movie focuses on the challenges in the present day political terrain and discourse in Nigeria.
He said, “The movie ‘If I Am President’ tells the story of 37-year-old Zinachi Ohams, the presidential candidate of the Nigerian Rebirth Party, a new party made up of young idealists and recently metamorphosed from a civil society organization.”
Obasi added that, “The movie is aimed to inspire patriotism, stimulate public consciousness around corruption and the effect on governance, and use entertainment to galvanize citizen’s agency against corruption in Nigeria.”
The movie which has been endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sport features some Nollywood faces, including Rahama Sadau, Bryan Okwara, Joke Silva, Bimbo Manuel, Rekiya Atta, Ayo Ayoloa, Ivie Okujaye, and a host of others.
The movie, which will be translated in 4 Nigeria languages; Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo and Pigin English, is scheduled for a world premiere in Abuja, a Lagos premiere, as well as premiere in the UK, US, and Canada for Nigerians in Diaspora. After screening in the cinemas, the movie will screen in 18 NYSC Orientation camps, 18 universities across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria, starting from November 2018.
