A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Saidu Dakingari, Alhaji Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari, and made available to newsmen yesterday in Birnin Kebbi said the governor, who inspected rice irrigation farms in Jega and Suru local government areas, called on the farmers to ensure best practice of the techniques they acquired in order to achieve improved yield.
The State Project Officer of IFAD, Mr. Joel Aiki, commended effort of the state government in providing fertiliser in addition to sensitising farmers on the new farming techniques.
