The Eze Igbo of Keffi in Keffi LGA of Nasarawa State, Igwe Celestine Mba, has expressed gratitude to both the Nasarawa State government and Keffi LGA for the allocation of shops to Igbo traders in the recently commissioned multi-billion naira neighbourhood market in Keffi.
Speaking with newsmen after the swearing in ceremony of the LG council’s Secretary, the Igwe Mba described the gesture as commendable and gratifying, especially that it would enable them to contribute to the socio-economic activities of the area.
Mba, who described the gesture as a clear demonstration of carrying them along as stakeholders, assured that they would not rest their oars in giving their contributions and support towards the general development of the area.
He tasked members of his community to continue to live in peace and harmony and support constituted authorities with a view to reaping the fruits of democracy, especially that the state government under the leadership of Gov Abdullahi Sule had been carrying them along through appointments and other forms of patronage.
