Ibrahim Adike, an Igbo Muslim in Awka, the Anambra state capital, says the lack of love between Igbo Muslims is making life difficult for them.

Adike made the statement while commenting on the lack of harmony among Muslims in the Eastern part of Nigeria.

“Igbo Muslims make life difficult for themselves. They think that joining Islam will make you rich. Many of us are not educated, so they cannot get into places. If you are educated, and you are seeking for an appointment, they will give it to you.”

Adike added that the lack of unity amongst the Igbo Muslims is also a contributing factor to the challenges they are facing.

“Since we are not together, we will have challenges. It’s because we do not show love to each other, that we have problems moving together as a group.”
