Coordinator of the Assembly, Chief Frank Okonkwo at a press conference yesterday stated that President Goodluck Jonathan did not only give politics a human face but also a human mind, adding that good governance is the only panacea for the future generation.
“President Jonathan’s style of fighting corruption is second to none as he has blocked all the holes through which corruption is perpetrated in the agricultural sector as fertilisers are sent directly to farmers. Corruption in the power sector has been arrested as a result of prepaid metering and power stations built in virtually every state. The railways that went into comatose since 1984 have also been revived and now we have speed trains.
“Our airports are now among the best in the world. Everywhere in the country, there are standard roads linking states, communities and towns, thus, enhancing transportation of goods and people. Jobs are provided for our youths through various projects and programmes like YouWin and SURE-P among others. 64 Almajiri schools and over 14 federal universities were built within this short period. Our military are better equipped and the result is pronounced in our victory over insurgency,” Okonkwo said, adding that President Goodluck succeeded where other governments failed.
