Dr. Asue Ighodalo, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in last year’s governorship election in Edo State, has debunked claims that he has defected from the party.

In a statement released on Monday, the Team Asue Media Organization (TAMO) denied a viral video suggesting Ighodalo’s departure from the PDP.

TAMO urged party supporters and the general public to ignore the circulating footage, which it said was deliberately designed to create confusion and weaken the party’s momentum ahead of the polls.

“Dr. Ighodalo remains a member of the PDP,” the statement read. “We urge the public to disregard this baseless fabrication and the mischief behind it.”

The media team emphasized that Ighodalo is unwavering in his commitment to the PDP’s ideals and his vision for a “prosperous and safe Edo.”
