The party said there was no N400 million given to it for campaign in the last general elections.
State chairman of the party, Dr Ben Nwoye,  made this  known to  journalists while commenting  on  the allegation that the state chapter of  the party was in crisis  regarding  the disbursement of alleged N400 million campaign funds released to it.
Dr. Nwoye  claimed  that the PDP moles commenced their plot to remove him after they suspected that he might be asked to nominate some political office holders from the state.
He said   that the four officers in the state; the Deputy Chairman, Mr Adolphus Ude; Secretary, Chris Ezeh; Youth Leader, Ikechukwu Oloto and Women Leader, Queen Nwankwo, who petitioned the party’s national chairman were being used by some people to  tear the party apart  to pave way for those who worked against the party during the elections to hijack its machinery in the state.
According to him,   their motive was to force him to resign so that they would install their loyalist as chairman of the party to enable them actualise their intention to nominate political office holders from the state.
He emphasised  that the state chapter of the party was not given N400 million for campaign, saying he refused to honour an invitation for a meeting convened by a member of the Board of Trustees of the party, General Joseph Okoloagu because he has no authority to convene such meeting.
