It is really surprising that the more we see campaigns about efforts by the Inspector General Police to make the Nigeria Police Force a better institution, the more some of the personnel are seen breaking the law. 

I say this because Aniocha South Local Government Area is becoming a breeding ground for corrupt police personnel.  Policemen are seen in uniform extorting money from commercial bus and taxi drivers almost on a daily basis.  

It has become so bad that these officers mark and deal with Okada riders, buses, tankers and taxi drivers, who pass through Aniocha-South, without making daily returns. 

We, the concerned residents of Aniocha-South Local Government Area of Delta State, therefore call on the Inspector General of Police and the state Commissioner of Police to call the officers and men to order. 

The personnel involved in this act are making the Force to look bad and it is not good at all.  We need a police force that works and the Force authourities can ensure that by punishing any personnel who violates the code of the profession.
