IGP, please tackle killings on Abuja-Kaduna road

The spate of killings on the Abuja-Kaduna road is on the rise and I don’t want to believe that the government lacks what it takes to bring it to an end. The road which links the federal capital territory to most parts of the North has become a death trap and nothing concrete is being done to address it. Only last week a professor and some other persons were killed by robbers on that road, increasing the number of lives wasted. How long will this be allowed to continue? Is it not appalling to say that with all the security apparatus in the country, we are unable to safeguard lives and property of citizens. What exactly is being done to tackle this issue? Everyday, there are reports in the media and the expectation is that the relevant authourities will make use of the stories to strategise but that is not the case.  If the current strategy being deployed by the police to tackle criminals is not working, then it should be reviewed. This cannot be allowed to continue.
