IITA ‘open day’ holds Saturday

A press release from the institute explained that the event will enable about 5,000 staff and their families based in Ibadan, to interact.
The event will also feature long-service awards, recognition of retirees, tree planting as part of the Reforest IITA project, talent presentations by staff, cultural numbers, open house exhibitions and displays, video show, fun events for children, lunch, and raffle.
In another development, the Research for Development Week of the IITA will hold between November 25 and 29 where more than 100 scientists and staff are expected to converge in Ibadan for the annual planning and review meeting with the theme, “It is IITA’s time.”
The programme includes presentations on current programmes and projects, discussions on new initiatives, workshops on specific research themes and CGIAR research programmes, poster presentations and meetings.
