Authorities in Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, would sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with their counterparts in Medgar Evers College, Brooklyn, New York, on the development of joint research activities among others.  

Director of Academic Collaboration and Linkages, Anthony Duruaku made the remarks after a meeting with officials from Medgar Evers College in Abuja. He said the agreements to be signed by both colleges “entail student and staff exchange programme, development of joint academic research and curriculum development among others.” 

He said the MoU would also enable the colleges to take part in international seminars and conferences. 

In his remarks, President of Medgar Evers College, Dr Rudolph Crew said the essence of the MoU was to let students understand their own interests and potentials and make every effort to the development of their talent. It would also develop positive classroom management, he said.
