The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN has given a youth leader,  Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere and 25 others seven days to tender an apology to the NYCN management for organizing an illegal congress  or risk being suspended from the council.
This decision was reached at the end of the National management meeting of the NYCN held in Abuja yesterday.
Ikenga and 25 others were said to have organised an illegal congress of the NYCN some weeks back without following the stipulated guidelines of the NYCN after which they started parading themselves as National Executive Committee of the NYCN.
The Chairman of the Communique drafting committee and the Commandant General of the Peace Corps of Nigeria, Dr Dickson Akoh who read the communique to newsmen yesterday  said failure of Ikenga and others to apologise to the NYCN management  will lead to their expulsion from the NYCN.
