Ilorin to host 10th Literature in Northern Nigeria Conference

Literature in the north of Nigeria will once again come under scrutiny at the 10th Conference on Literature in Northern Nigeria scheduled to take place in Ilorin.
The annual conference being organized by the Kwara State University, Malete and the Bayero University, Kano, coming up between November 9 and 12 will have the theme: Literature, Ideology and Societal Resurgence in Northern Nigeria.
The details of the conference were confirmed in a statement signed by Dr Seedat Aliyu, the conference secretary, who encouraged researchers to submit abstracts on the conference theme broken into sub themes like Literature and Ideology in Northern Nigeria, Language and Ideology in Northern Nigeria, Literature and Social Resurgence in Northern Nigeria.
Other sub themes to be explored, according to the conference organisers, include: Ideology and Societal Resurgence in Northern Nigeria, Women’s Writing and Societal Resurgence in Northern Nigeria, Environmental Ideology and Societal Resurgence in Northern Nigeria, Indigenous Literature and Societal Resurgence in Northern Nigeria among others.
According to the statement, authors of abstracts will be invited to present their papers at the conference in November.
