The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Kaduna branch, has organised a citizens summit on national integration, peace and security where it called on all and sundry to imbibe peace, togetherness and religious tolerance for societal growth and development.

This, according to stakeholders at the summit, “will help find solutions to the weakened credibility of our social fabric which has bred disaffection among various components of our diverse society  with manifest consequence in the prevailing threat to peace, security and national integration over the years.”

The summit also provided interest groups and core stakeholders the platform for solution-based engagement towards overall peace building, reconciliation and national cohesion. 

In his welcome addressed, the state chapter chairman, Haroun Malami, said the summit was to activate national reconciliation, restoration of hope in relationships, promotion of mutual respect and love, rebuild peace and security and relay the foundation for Nigeria’s rebirth.

Also speaking at the summit, NIPR National President, Alhaji Mukhtar Zubair and the Kaduna state Commissioner for Internal  Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, both stressed on the misuse of national diversity which is supposed to be Nigeria’s richness.
