Imo government to recruit 4,000 graduates

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has disclosed his administration’s plan to recruit 4,000 graduates into the state civil service system.

He stated this during a media briefing in Owerri, noting that the essence was to create a vibrant public service in the state.

He said what the state has now  weak and over-aged civil servants due to mal-administration in the past in the state.

The governor  decried a situation whereby a leader would use his office to offer jobs to people who had no certificates, adding that  his  government was  determined to clean up  the local government areas and  the health sector among others.

Okorocha, who claimed that workers in the sectors did not go to work, insisted that 10% of old workers that have been queried must go in order for qualified graduates to come in.
