He said Chief Ilomuanya was nominated to the National Conference on the platform of traditional rulers and now that he has been dethroned he should withdraw for another serving traditional ruler to take his place.
He said Imo state government had dethroned the monarch by withdrawing the certificate with which Ilomuanya was appointed as the traditional ruler in the state.
Offor said the clarification became necessary because of delegate Anayo Nnebe’s observation that the conference should forestall further intervention of state governments in traditional title matters.
The monarch was not available for comment.
