Students of Tudun Maliki Special Education School  in the state metropolis have paid a visit to the Daily Trust Kano regional office yesterday to expose themselves on the workings of the company.

One of the school staff, Musa Ahmed Muhammad said the aim of the visit was to educate the physically challenged students how journalists are operating saying “it is very difficult to get a physically challenged person practicing the profession”.

‘’We come to this place in order to let our students have exposure about the journalism practice and to encourage them to develop interest in the profession so that when they graduate from secondary school, they can study mass communication in the future” he said.

Ahmed commended the effort of government in providing them with educational materials and called on it to establish tertiary institutions for the physically challenged persons in the state.

Dayyabu Adamu, leader of the students, expressed appreciations to the leadership of the regional office and said the visit had posed a challenge to him to seek for more knowledge.

On her part, Muazzatu Muhammad, one of the female students said the visit helped them to get more understanding about the journalism practice.

“Physically challenged persons should understand that whatever a normal person can do, we can equally do it in our own way and more importantly, if we exercise patience for our trial, we have reward from God’’ she said.
