Nobody should fool you to think that the Honourables Yakubu Dogara and Abdulmumini Jibril budget imbroglio is about you, or about the people; seriously standing with any of them is identifying with a devil.
 I feel pained that the all-important matter of budget implementation has been moved to the sidelines; the question we should be asking is that what stage are we in the process of implementing the budget? Especially those areas that have direct benefit or impact on the masses.
On the padding issue however, what we should do at best is to call on anti-corruption agencies to be up to their responsibilities and investigate these issues, but to raise this issue to a national debate is indeed dampening while the common man continues to wallow in abject poverty. Inequality, unemployment and poverty statistics continue to rise unabated; which is a pointer to massive underdevelopment as development theorist Dudley Seers showed.
We cannot allow people that we know are PR professionals or the Abuja base profilers shape our thinking after a closed door meeting with Jibrin, if they really care for the common man, they should be writing and calling for protests over matters that concerned us, not on trivial issues that are clearly done for pecuniary gains.
