Dzungu told Daily Trust that the supply exceeded the 45 million daily demand of water by the Makurdi town populace following the revival of reticulated areas.
He noted that places such as; Wurukum, North bank and Madonna hospital vicinity which had lacked water in the past 20 years have been reconnected and are now enjoying free flow of water.
According to him, the areas had suffered water insufficiency between 15 and 20 years due to locked valves, leakages among others.
But with the state government’s effort in ensuring the revival of the old pipeline network, people in the state capital now enjoy good and safe drinking water.
He appealed to people living outside reticulated areas to be patient as the present administration was doing everything to create extension network to newly developed layouts.
Meanwhile, he called on residents within the reticulated environs to get their houses connected to the pipeline network for maximum benefits.
