In Adamawa, Bindow’s window of opportunity

Governor Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa State is indeed a unique individual, as I was privileged to witness first-hand recently. I’m a construction engineer and I visited Yola to deliver some blueprints, so a friend drove me round town to show me the network of roads being worked on, day and night. I was impressed, sure, but I thought my friend, who has government connections, was just a praise-singer. Then in the evening I strolled outside my hotel, which is on one of the roads being made, and along the way I noticed a crowd and some cars gathered. Lo, and behold, it was Governor Bindow, who had stopped by to see progress on the work, and he was engaging locals and even passersby who wanted to greet him. He was shaking hands and smiling, engaging them in chats. If I hadn’t seen it, I wouldn’t have believed it. We need leaders like Bindow, who see windows of opportunity in the need to help people by simply doing the job they voted him to do. God bless you, Bindow!
