Police in Kano have raised alarm over raising cases of incest among the residents.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kano state command DSP Magaji Musa Majiya disclosed in a statement issued on Tuesday that many parents have indulged into unholy act with their biological children.
He said it was an unexpected development in the society.
‘’Nobody has ever thought this could happen where a biological father has carnal knowledge of his daughter. This has happened in Unguwa Uku in Kano where a father slept with his 14-year-old daughter leaving her pregnant on three different occasions’’ he said.
The girl, police spokesman added had carried out abortion three times courtesy of her father’s unholy behavior.
He further revealed that the command has made several arrests including a man who raped 11-year-old twin sisters as well as a 25 year-old man who consistently sleeps with his blood sister in Kano.
He said 34 out of 35 persons suspected for rape have been arrested saying 36 victims within the age of 5-13 fall victims of the ungodly act.
