A non-governmental organization, OXFAM, has intensified its community development efforts across the 17 local government areas (LGAs) of Plateau State.

This was via a capacity building workshop on social accountability and community development planning for partners staff, government officials and civil society organisations in the state.

Speaking at the workshop, which was held in Jos, OXFAM VSLA Officer, Enoch Bamiyi, said the organisation has been able to mobilise and build the capacity of over 40,000 people in the state.

He said the essence of the capacity building process is also to support the government both at the state and local levels where they are piloting community development planning to see how they can use an inclusive budgeting process to be able to capture the needs of people from the grassroots.
