Independence: Kumuyi urges leaders to find solution to country’s problems

He made the remarks while addressing newsmen in Abuja on a four-day programme by the church titled: ‘Divine connection for full freedom,” scheduled between Friday and Monday, as part of its activities to mark the Independence anniversary in Abuja.

Pastor Kumuyi who said that he would be in Abuja for the programme, from where it would be transmitted to other parts of the world, also sympathised with the victims of the recent flood disaster across the country.

He advised Nigerian leaders to take heart and to look at the future, believing that the problems of the country would be solved.

He urged them to use all the resources that God has given to them, the manpower, the wisdom the fortitude and everything to make sure that the country mapped out solution to our problems through wisdom of God.

“To start with, we know that there is God in Heaven, we know that God has appointed us, whoever we are, as leaders to be in this particular place at this point in time so that we look onto God and take heart and make use of all the resources that God has given to us, the manpower, the wisdom the fortitude and everything, to make sure that we map out solution to our problems through the wisdom of God,” he said.

Pastor Kumuyi said, “As you all know that the country is a about to celebrate its independence anniversary and you know that the country has gone through quite a lot since it got her independence. At this point, we know the challenges facing our own country and everybody is thinking of what do we do.

“I think that the people in government are doing their best to get the problem solved, but it appears that as we are making some efforts, although we are making success in some areas, some other areas of problem are cropping up.

“By the grace of God the security situation in the country is reducing, but then suddenly we woke up to see the natural disaster of flood affecting some states and people have been displaced.

“This time we are focusing on divine connection to full freedom, fruitfulness and security so that we can connect with our God. We remember that God created this world and we want to rediscover that purpose and have intimate connection with him in such a way that our present problems could be taken care of.

“And we can look at the future with real courage. We know that our God will not leave us alone. He is going to do something. This time, I have been preparing and waiting on the Lord. There is going to be a great breakthrough for everyone that is going to be connected through the radio and everywhere,” he said.
