In a few hours we reached another garden. While inside this beautiful rose garden, I remained silent for some seconds and I prayed. The garden is spread across thirty to forty acres, containing nearly 820 varieties of roses in it, and more than 34,000 varieties of other medicinal plants and trees. It is being maintained by expert gardeners and the greatest incentive is the fact that entry into the park is free.
As I walked inside, I met one of the professional gardeners who took me round to tell me more about the language of flowers. The man who was 45 years, started by asking if I was married. When I paused by one of the trees to listen to him, he said I said I should always try to create time to go outside on a nice day and visit a garden, it will be a huge advantage.Try to spend 20 minutes outside in good weather, this not only boosts a positive mood, but it broadens thinking and improves the memory, he said.
He then moved forward, and started showing me some flowers. He said again, do you really appreciate your wife? I said yes, he said then today you are lucky to meet me. I will tell you the language of flowers, to encourage your wife, your loved ones , your parents, your friends and many more.
I could not help, but wonder what he meant and he took me round to start showing some roses which had so many meanings. He said, always tell your wife you love her, buy her flowers, tell her she is so beautiful. No marriage is perfect and we all need to make an effort. How many men and women can do that nowadays, to present ordinary fresh flowers to their loved ones or their wife?
This, of course, is difficult to understand, how many of us can decide what to give our loved ones , during an anniversary, birthday, wedding and so on. Perhaps, we should start thinking about the language of flowers. When he took me far inside the garden he started once more to explain. When it comes to gift-giving, at least, you need to have some hints. He said with a smile, when you are together with your loved ones watching TV or Video films and there is travel show and she says, it is wonderful to see peacock inside a beautiful garden? Pay attention, or she says “Oh, look at this flower, it looks like the colour of my shoes, those are lovely.” Make a note of it. They drop a hint like this all the time.
Take your loved one, your wife to some place like this garden, which has meaning for the two of you. Both men and women have forgotten the meaning of flowers. I learnt in the garden the secret of flowers and their meanings, including the dictionary of flowers. Each time you want to present the flowers to your loved ones try to find what is the secret message you are sending to them: Flowers have many symbolic meanings. White Roses: “Innocent love”, Lilac, Mauve Rose: “Do you still Love me”, Rose, Yellow & Orange: “Passionate thoughts”, Red Rose: “Romantic Love”, Pink Rose: “Secret Love”, Yellow Rose: “Friendship”, Orchid Rose: “Love and Beauty”, Camellia Red: “You’re adorable,” Hibiscus Rose: “Delicate Beauty”, Hyacinth, purples Rose: “I’m sorry, please forgive me.”
I finally turned to him and asked him why he loves to be a professional gardener. He said right from his child hood, he loved flowers. They fill him with happiness, they way the colours always harmonize with each other. He said, “any time I enter this beautiful place I automatically fall in love with green grass, red roses, white roses, and lots of flowers. If I am sad I enter here, then I feel so happy.”
How many of us, know the meaning of finding space at home, in the office, in the dining room, and in our luxury rooms to display flowers, which can bring about a positive emotional feeling to us, and to those who visit our homes. If you don’t know they create a harmonious atmosphere, and they present the symbol of sharing and love. That is part of the education I learnt about flowers in the garden in India. No wonder any time I called my wife while in India, when I asked about my daughter who bears the name of ‘Uwar Marayu” Aisha, her mother will tell me she went outside the room playing with flowers which I planted inside pots within the house. While I was there I understood what she means, that is part of the language of flowers I learnt.
During my last class in the garden, I learnt that whether you are still dating or have been married for several years, try to surprise your loved one, try to pick up some flowers in the market, or pick fresh flowers to present to her. Or buy her a new Qur’an with a wooden design Qur’an stand, handmade dhikir prayer beads for tasheedah for her. I am hesitant to suggest this one because it will not cost you anything at all, but it will only take you to keep it forever, I guarantee it. Try it with your loved one alone, to present a pot of flowers only, and see how she will take care of the lovely flowers inside. I obtained my lesson on the language of flowers from the Indian guru of flowers. On occasion they use garlands of flowers to welcome guests, in order to show the importance of the person being welcomed. This way of marriage is well-known throughout the world, as both the bride and the groom make an exchange of flowers. In fact, this is the most crucial part of the marriage ritual itself. The two human beings now come together through the exchange of the flowers and become one.
