Industrial relations: ministry advocates developmental approach

Permanent Secretary of the ministry Dr. Clement Illoh made the call recently in Abuja while declaring open a two-day workshop on “combating the challenges of industrial relations practices and trade union administration in the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency.”
The workshop was organised by the ministry of aviation, in collaboration with the labour ministry.
Illoh noted that the workshop aims to find lasting solution to the problem of industrial unrest in the aviation sector, saying “today is a great day set aside for continued search of peace and harmony in the Aviation Sector.”
Also speaking, permanent secretary of the aviation ministry who was represented by the director, planning research and statistics in the ministry, Dr. Ibrahim Idris stated that the workshop is necessitated by the need to enhance the knowledge of both the management staff and the labour unions operating in the aviation sector, in the management of trade disputes and industrial relations among various stakeholders in the sector.
