The INEC in Zamfara State has declared Alhaji Ibrahim Tudu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of yesterday’s runoff election for Bakura constituency in the State House of Assembly.

Announcing the results, the INEC Returning Officer, Professor Yahaya Tanko Baba, said PDP’s Tudu polled 23,874 votes to defeat his closest rival APC’s Alhaji Bello Dankande Gamji who scored 16,546 votes.

Fourteen political parties fielded candidates for last Saturday’s election which was declared inconclusive by the electoral body.

The APC in Zamfara State had on Tuesday withdrawn its participation in the runoff.
