The Independent National Electoral Commission in the state has equally issued certificates of return to the governor-elect of the state, Rochas Okorocha and his deputy, Prince Eze Madumere.
Addressing the people yesterday at the INEC office, the resident electoral commissioner, REC, Dr. Gabriel Adah, said the certificates of return were not issued to the 5 lawmakers-elect because they were late in forwarding their documents to the headquarters of the commission.
He also cited misspellings on their certificates but assured that as soon as the documents arrive, they would be presented to them.
He commended the conduct of political party candidates and the members during the period and also the effort of the security operatives for enduring peaceful conduct of the election.
Presenting the certificates, the national commissioner in charge of Abia, Imo and Enugu, Mrs, Gladis Nwafor, commended the governor for fulfilling his electioneering promises to the people.
