INEC officials absent at Ighodalo’s Polling Unit

No INEC officials on the ground

Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are currently not on ground at Okaegben ward one, polling unit 3, Ewohimi Local Government Area of Edo State, where, Asue Ighodalo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the ongoing governorship election, is expected to vote.

This is as a result of the downpour in the area on Saturday morning.

According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), as of 9:26am, voters gathered in clusters waiting for the arrival of INEC officials and materials at the polling unit.

But as of 10:30am when Daily Trust correspondent arrived at the polling unit, the officials had started arriving.

The PDP candidate arrived there shortly.
