The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has approved the promotion of 1,731 members of staff who excelled in the 2024 promotion examinations.
The commission on Tuesday in a bulletin said that this achievement marks another milestone that underscores the INECs unwavering commitment to enhancing staff welfare and supporting career progression.
A detailed breakdown of the promotions showed that 59 deputy directors on Grade Level 16 have been elevated to the rank of director on Grade Level 17.
Also, 168 assistant directors on grade level 15, were promoted to the rank of deputy director, on grade level 16.
“167 Chiefs (Grade Level 14) advanced to the position of assistant director (Grade Level 15). Additionally, 1,337 officers between grade levels 7 and 13 were found deserving and promoted accordingly.
“This achievement highlights INEC’s steadfast commitment to staff development, motivation and continuous self-improvement. The commission remains dedicated to maintaining a tradition of annual promotions aimed at boosting staff morale and driving organizational productivity,” the bulletin signed by Mrs. Adenike Tadese and Mr Nathaniel Audu Gana said.
